Hello parents! We are getting a lot done in a short time. We continue to look at tthe inverse relationship between division and multiplication. Yesterday and today we looked at word problems and how to draw tape diagrams. Here is a link to a video that also helps explain the process.

We also showed our knowledge of the 4 types of sentences by picking a movie that we like, and write 1 of each type of sentence about the events in that movie. We had a great time coming up with ideas and then illustrating them!

Tomorrow we will have our spelling test on the Vc-e pattern as well as our comprehenion, grammar and vocabulary test on Cardigan Jones. Students have been working hard in small reading group and really enjoying their time. We will be revamping our Daily 5 work centers next week to involve a bit more center work to keep the students more active and doing a variety of activities. We will also give our first ELA quarterly assessment to have a benchmark of where students are in September with RACE and multiple choice comprehension questions.
