Monday, Monday, Monday

Hello! Today we took our mid-module assessment for module 1. We practiced some sample problems before the actual assessment....and then we had a fire drill! During Daily 5 we tried something new. Students have a "MUST DO" activity which is a daily edit and a workbook page from our Journeys workbook. Then they are able to freely choose their next activities with a maximum of 3 students per activity. It worked really well today and I hope that students can contiue to self-monitor their lreaning and be motivated to continue!

Just an FYI....our classroom is HOT! Today, even though we had fans going and windows open, it was very hot in the classroom. Please have your child dress accordingly...shorts and t-shirt are a must! Long pants, boots and long sleeves are just uncomfortable and sweaty!

Keep working on those math facts nightly! We are off to a great start!
