Well, although it was a rainy morning, we made the best of a lousy day and continued on with an indoor walk-a-thon! It ended up being a great time and everybody pulled together to get it done! Students walked laps through the hallway, stopped in the cafeteria for milk and apple slices, and played games in the gymnasium. A big thank you to our PTA and Mr. Gaffney who helped organize all this in the brief time we had in the morning!
We are pretty much done with our first math module. We will finish the last lesson on Tuesday. Students will take their Module 1 Assessment on Wednesday. Please take the time to continually work on memorizing those basic math facts!
We have finished up learning about Mexico and so now we will switch gears to a unit on Science and weather! We will learn about weather systems and the tools used to predict weather patterns. This also includes information about the water cycle.
Please take a look at the first page of the website at that gallery section. I added more photos of the walk-a-thon and your kids in action!
