Greetings parents! Today in math we went over the concept of Liters and mililiters. We connected this concept to Kilograms and grams from last week. As we work with measurement units, we will begin to solve word problems using these units.
In reading we are working on sequencing of events using key words. Our spelling pattern is the long /i/ sound. We work on these patterns in our Daily 5 activities. Ask your child what story they are reading in reading groups. We are reading nonfiction stories; one about caves and the other about elephant heards.
I am putting together a bin of indoor recess activities. I have found the kids really like doing art activities. If you could help me by donating some supplies, I would greatly appreciate it. Items such as Play-Dough, coloring books (especially the more intricate designs), beads and strings for making bracelets, foam pieces and shapes, water colors. You can send in any donations with your child at any point.
Thank you....and let's have a great week!
